How do we make decisions?
Our decision process is transparent and values-based aligned to our criteria. Requests are reviewed by our committee, with additional checks as needed.
STEP 1 : Intake
- Funding Request Form (with details of impact, alignment, verification)
- Initial vetting by community member or referrer
STEP 2 : Review
- Core team reviews (Gareth, Gregor, Shane, Wayne, Matthew)
- Checklist: alignment, impact, local relevance and credibility
STEP 3 : Decision, Disbursement & Action
- Core team (min. 3 members) votes and allocates funding
- Feedback loop after funding, Encourage continued donations or engagement (e.g. “How to get involved” links) & Reporting
- Reports issued in line with SARS NPO requirements - public benefit activities
