We have 48 children staying with their parents at
the Family Shelter, of which 28 children are
transported to a variety of schools and
educational hubs. A few of the parents are able
to make their own arrangements, however the
Shelter provides transport for 21 of of the
children to schools in the surrounding areas
including Firgrove Primary, Danie Ackerman,
Macassar Secondary, and M Power Learning
Centre. With 7 of our younger children
transported to Op Die Plaas Preschool.
Vehicle wise this year has been a struggle, until now. We have just
received our new baby, a 7 seater Suzuki Ertiga. She will bring a welcome
relief to the schedule. A massive thank you goes out to all the gents in the Boys Night Social
Group, who met us half way with the purchase and arranged an additional discount via Suzuki
Stellenbosch. We know, that it’s because we know some fine men that we have found this
favour, thank you Lads! The km’s on the road will form memories in the hearts and minds of our
young people that will change their future for the good, one school day at a time, one special
outing, on OT class, one adventure, leading to many milestone and much growth 💪.
We have great news! Our Inverters & Solar is installed at out Family Shelter. We start the 2025
strong 💪, with huge thanks and appreciation to you and THE BOYS ♥️
